It is in the lists you make and the thoughts you think. It is in the stolen kiss under the midnight moon. It is walking barefoot in grass. It is tying your hair up in an intricate braid, and putting on your best outfit, just for you. It is looking in the mirror and smiling. It is in the beautiful words you say. Beauty is loving yourself. So cultivate beauty in your life, both inside and out.

Community

Each of us has various parts of us: our subconscious minds, conscious minds, alter egos, different elements of our personalities. Sometimes we have an inner mean voice who constantly puts us down. Sometimes the kind voice speaks up. Remember those angels and demons that would pop up on the main character’s shoulders in cartoons? Yeah, sort of similar. So if we stop looking at ourselves as “absolute” and just one person who either fails or succeeds, is nice or mean, is black or white, and realize that there are different voices, then we can start to distance ourselves from the bad versions, and spend more time with the nice versions; just like you would with people. 

This “we” is the community you create within you. It represents how you talk to yourself, which voice you listen to, and how you interact with yourself.

When you feel beautiful, you feel confident. Our bodies are meant to be adorned, pampered, and loved. Dress it up with love, take care of it, decorate it. 

Fashion is a beautiful way to incorporate an element of creativity and art into your every day life. The patterns you choose, the colors you match, the accessories you add, it all adds to your final personal creation. 

 

The best part about fashion, though, is how it can make you feel. If you’re sad, dressing up can lift your spirits. If you are feeling insecure, wearing nice clothes boosts your self esteem. I love all the ways you can express yourself and experiment with fashion. 

Here, you can find some of my favourite fashion and style trends. I’ll share what I love wearing, and how I create my outfits. The point here is not to tell you what to wear and set superficial standards of beauty. These tips are only for inspiration, so that you can dress up your body with love and care, so that you can feel your most beautiful self, whether that means wearing a hoodie and your old jeans, or wearing Prada’s latest collection. Fashion and style is all subjective, and the most beautiful adornment is confidence, and that is all you need to put on when dressing yourself.
