What you wear has a huge effect on your mindset. During Covid, whenever I felt low at home, I get up, wash my face, do my hair, and dress up.

Have you ever felt that when you are wearing heels, no one can ever get you down?

The same goes with red lipstick. I put it on and feel like a confident B**** who ain’t got time for no bullshit.

But with quarantine, I have been slacking on dressing up. I wake up in pajamas and stay in those pajamas all day, falling from one couch to my bed to my armchair, trying to get work done, and inevitably, feeling like crap.

BUT, then I decided, enough. I will dress up. But not in the elaborate work-wear way that can be cumbersome. If I am honest, it is nice to not worry about blazers and impeccable makeup. Instead, I am talking about easy, cute little things that can brighten up your look – and your day – while you are working from home. Cute, uplifting, and you still don’t need to iron anything!

Wear Cute Clips

If you don’t want to do your hair, and don’t want to change out of your pajamas (no judging), add cute clips to your hair! This is the best way to keep your hair out of your face, while also feeling a little special. Cuz when else will you take out all your cute clips?

Dress Up with Hair-ties

Is your hair really sticky and yuck? Haven’t gotten to washing it today? NO problem! Make a cute bun, ponytail, or braid, and add a cute hair-tie! DONE! Now every time you cross the mirror, you will feel so cute and happy 🙂

Mindful Jewelry

Wearing a ring or bracelet that reminds you to be mindful whenever you take a look at it. It can be something with a particular message inscribed on it, or it can just be something that when you see, you remember to pause and take a breath.

Dress Up Wearing Your Favourite Clothes

This is one of my favorite things to do. If you are like me, you save your new/favorite clothes for special occasions. But what is the point of saving something that makes you feel good? If you aren’t feeling good, then why did you even buy it?

Plus, there are going to be very few special occasions where you dress up and go OUT in 2020. So, just take out that super cute dress or fancy shirt you were saving and WEAR it! I promise you, you will feel so happy and on-top of the world!

Conclusion

While you are working from home, there are great (and easy) ways you can up your look too!
